Below you will find various plants and animals. Choose a plant or animal to research. Write a reply that includes adaptations for this plant or animal. For each adaptation identify it as a behavioral or physical adaptation. Be sure to include what the adaptation is and how it helps the plant or animal to survive and thrive.

Your post must be a minimum of 1 paragraph (5-8 sentences) detailing the adaptations of the organism you choose.

Your post must be written in complete sentences with correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.

What are the adaptations of a corn snake?

The corn snake can slither easily.It can hunt for predators so it's behavioral.The corn snakes adaptation is that it can camoflauge which is a physical adaptation.Did you know that golden brown corn snake will survive longer. When I was outside with my brother Jacob and my friend Lucas we found this corn snake in my neighbor hood and then it went under the ground.

  3. Corn snakes feed by sucking the sap out of corn plants and corn kernels, and, although native to North and Central America, is now a common pest to farmers worldwide.

    The Corn Snake climbs well, but is most often terrestrial. They exhibit an interesting threat display. They raise as much of their bodies off the ground that can be supported, while keeping the aerial portion of their body in an S-curve. The mouth is held open and the snake hisses. They also vibrate their tails when alarmed.

  4. Did you know that corn snakes are probably the most suitable snakes to keep captive? Also they could breed pretty well in captivty. It`s appetite is rodents,lizards and small birds.
    They have many habitats such as,Soutern New Jersy,Florida,and Western Louisiana.These animals are nocturnal. They live in forests,fields and crops,according to their skin color. The blotches on their skin might contain the color red,orange,gray or brown,edged in black. The background of their skin contains orange,red,tan or gray.This is an example of physical adatations.These animals are nocternal,which means that they sleep during the day and are awake during the night.Since it is dark during the night, they might have night vision,or can see well during the night.Corn snakes can be up to two to three feet long.If you have any more information about corn snakes that I have not mentioned, feel free to comment on the space below.

    1. Well Valeria,back in the early years ,farmers were to plant ears of corn.But mice and rats were to eat those ears of corn,but these snakes came along (corn snakes) and ate all those rats so those farms called the snake a corn snake for saving their corn.
