  4. Madeline,
Thank you for sharing these adaptations. I am curious to know what the fennec fox eats. Does it have any other adaptations that help it to eat its prey?

  6. I learned that the fennec fox is able to survive without water. The fennec fox's kidneys are adapted to restrict water loss. The fennec fox's extensive burrowing may cause dew that can be consumed, and they can receive moisture from the food they eat. I also learned that the fennec fox has thick fur on the soles of their feet, which insulates agaist the hot sand of the desert.

  10. Some more facts about the fennec fox are that a male fox is called a reynard and a female is called a vixen. Their lifespan is up to 12 years in the wild. They usually live in packs of 10. Their tails can help them change direction while running. Their claws are sharp and curved to help them with digging. I also learned that they mate for life.
